IM体育足球下载 is excited to launch a new program to su pport Northeast Ohio women in manufacturing!
The program, Technical Training in Operations , is designed specifically for women in manufacturing and operations to build a well-rounded understanding of business segments critical to the industry. Participants of the 17-session series who meet minimum requirements will receive a certificate from IM体育足球下载 at the conclusion of the program.
Each session concentrates on a different area of operations, which practice consultant Kim Kirkendall wil l lead, along with occasional guest speakers featured to share their professional knowledge on a given topic. Session topics include:
- Lean outside the production floor
- Cost control in logistics
- Supplier management
- Building a strong ROI for your project
- Utilizing engineering drawings
- Data technology and kaizen
- Understanding financial metrics
Kirkendall, whose manufacturing operations career spans over 35 years with a focus on supply chain, consults with companies from around the world, serves as an advisor to U.S. government programs and for the New Zealand Trade office, and is currently serving as an adjunct professor at Baldwin Wallace University.
Each 30-minute virtual session begins at 12:15 and is scheduled for every two weeks beginning September 29. All sessions will be recorded in the event a participant cannot make a week. While all participants will share a career in the manufacturing space, professionals from all manufacturing practice areas are invited, from engineering and supply chain to sales and human resources.
